Sulfonex M-80
Sulfonex M-80 is a tosylamide/formaldehyde resin used as a modifier in lacquers, inks and adhesives to promote gloss, adhesion and overall durability. Sulfonex M-80 has excellent compatibility with most commercial polymeric binders, pigments, dyes and plasticizers. Solutions of Sulfonex M-80 have a low viscosity and offer the advatnage of formulating high solids lacquers. Sulfonex M-80 improves the compatibility of resins with plasticizers and pigments which may otherwise remain incompatible. In adhesives formulations, Sulfonex M-80 helps in bonding many substrates such as cellophane and aluminum foils to themselves or to paper. Bond strengths are maintained at temperatures of up to 135°F (57°C).
